自1924年在美州成立至今，在全球90多个国家和地区已有1万多个分会（使用语言包括英语、日语、普通话、粤语等），会员近23万人。

国际演讲会的会员根据总会所提供的演讲手册及各种训练教材，有计划性的轮流担任例会中的各项角色，如主持人、各环节主持人、演讲人、点评人等，在轻松有趣、乐观进取的环境中相互切磋、共同勉励以求自我成长及演讲能力的精进。

Meeting Time: 7:10-9:30pm, the 2nd&3rd&4th Thursday of each month

Galaxy -- a large system of stars held together by mutual gravitation in the space. Here in Guangzhou, this Galaxy is a group of happy member stars held together by the mutual gravitation of Toastmasters spirit, Toastmasters activities and Toastmasters achievements. In this Galaxy, members learn and practice public speaking skills and leadership skills with passion, fun, friendship and commitment. Yes, we are Galaxy, we are the stars!

Facts and Milestones of GZ Galaxy Toastmasters Club:

l        Feb. 2003: Chartered as Guangzhou Tianhe Toastmasters Club (No.5430) and merged with Guangzhou Toastmasters Club (No.7718) during 2004-2006.

l        May 2005: Held demo meeting and sponsored Zhuhai Toastmasters Club (No.831323).

l        Jan. 2007: Reborn and Chartered as GZ Galaxy Toastmasters Club (No.992873). Founding President 2006-2007: Fanic ZENG, CL (also Past Area S32 Governor 2007-2008, Past President of GZ TMC 2004-2005).

l        Feb. 2007: Held demo meeting and sponsored GDNT Toastmasters Club (2003618).

l        May 2007: Ligo WANG representing Division South to compete in the National Table Topic Speech Contest (both English & Chinese), and Sunny LAI in Chinese Prepared Speech Contest held in Shenzhen.

l        Oct. 2007: Kwong Yue YANG representing Division South to compete in the National English Humorous Speech Contest, and Ivy LU in Chinese Humorous Speech Contest held in Beijing; Kwong won the Championship.

l        May 2008: Kwong Yue YANG representing Division South to compete in the National English Evaluation Contest, and Leah RAMPLE in International Speech Contest held in Shanghai; both won the Championship.

l        May 2008: Toastmasters International Membership Contest Renewal: Gold Award (only 5 out of 59 clubs in District 85 - China got this Gold Award).

l        July 2008: Distinguished Club of year 2007-2008.

l        July 2008: Kwong Yue YANG elected as Area E52 Governor (2008-2009) and Ligo WANG, CL elected as Division E Governor (2008-2009).

l        Aug. 2008: Held demo meetings and sponsoring HSDC Toastmasters Club! J
